Wiggum CLI

Open-source command-line tool that scans your codebase, writes feature specs through AI interviews and runs Ralph loops to ship pull requests.

What is Wiggum CLI?

Wiggum CLI is a command-line tool that adds a planning layer on top of CLI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex CLI. You install it from npm, run wiggum init so it detects your stack and conventions, then use wiggum new to describe a feature in plain English and answer an AI interview that produces a markdown spec. Running wiggum run hands that spec to your coding agent in a Ralph loop, a cycle of plan, implement, test, verify and pull request with progress checkpoints and a terminal monitor. Agent mode goes further by reading your GitHub issues, ordering them by label and dependencies, running a loop for each, reviewing the diff against the spec and merging when checks pass; it can also run headless in CI. The core is free and self-hosted with your own API keys, and the license is MIT with the Commons Clause. A paid Pro plan costs $19 per month and is on a waitlist.

Use cases

  • Generate implementation-ready feature specs
  • Run autonomous coding loops on a feature
  • Work through a GitHub issue backlog
  • Review diffs against a spec automatically
  • Run coding agents headless in CI
  • Scan a project to map its stack and conventions

Who it's for

  • Software developers
  • Engineering teams
  • Claude Code and Codex users
  • Open-source maintainers

Why use Wiggum CLI

  • A spec-first workflow gives the coding agent unambiguous instructions before any code is written.
  • Because specs are plain markdown, you can read, edit and version-control them.
  • Agent mode can carry a backlog item to a merged pull request without constant attention.
  • It is agent-agnostic, so you are not tied to one vendor's coding assistant.
  • The free tier is unlimited for specs and CLI commands when you run it yourself.

Wiggum CLI features
