PowerSkills
PowerShell toolkit that lets AI agents drive Windows apps, Outlook, Edge and the shell through JSON-returning skills.
What is PowerSkills?
PowerSkills is a collection of PowerShell scripts that expose Windows capabilities to AI agents as structured skills. Five skills ship in the repository: outlook for email and calendar through Outlook COM, workiq for Microsoft 365 mail, calendar, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive via the Work IQ CLI, browser for Edge automation over the Chrome DevTools Protocol, desktop for screenshots, window management and keystrokes, and system for shell commands, processes and system info. Every command prints a JSON envelope with a status, exit code, data and timestamp, which makes results easy for an agent to parse. Each skill folder includes a SKILL.md so an agent can discover its actions, and the project can be added through the AgentSkills installer. It needs Windows 10 or 11 with PowerShell 5.1 or later, has no other dependencies, and is released under the MIT license at no cost.
Use cases
- Read Outlook inbox and calendar from an agent
- Automate Microsoft Edge tabs
- Capture desktop screenshots
- Run shell commands from an AI agent
- Query Microsoft 365 with Work IQ

Who it's for
Why use PowerSkills
- Gives an agent a uniform, parseable JSON result from every Windows action.
- Skills document themselves through SKILL.md, so agents find the actions without extra prompting.
- Plain PowerShell with no dependencies keeps installation to a clone.
- Each skill runs standalone, so you can adopt only what you need.
- MIT license with source in the open for auditing before you give an agent system access.
