What is Overloop CLI?

Overloop CLI is a command-line interface to the Overloop API v2, published by Sortlist as an npm package. It lets developers and AI agents manage sales outreach without opening the dashboard: create and update prospects and organizations, build lists, set up campaigns with delay and email steps, enroll prospects in bulk, and source new leads with search criteria. You can also read and archive conversations, assign owners, list custom fields and sending addresses, and manage an exclusion list of blocked emails and domains. Every command prints JSON that you can pipe to jq or hand to an agent, and a skill file, installed with npx skills add, teaches agents such as Cursor and Claude Code the commands and workflows. You log in with an API key from your Overloop dashboard, and the API allows 600 requests per minute per key. The README marks the CLI as beta, so interfaces may change, and the CLI itself is free while the Overloop platform needs its own account.

How to get started with Overloop CLI

1. Install the package globally with npm install -g overloop-cli.
2. Run overloop login and paste an API key from Settings > API Keys in your Overloop dashboard.
3. Create prospects, lists or a campaign with inline steps using commands such as campaigns:create.
4. Enroll prospects individually or in bulk, then switch the campaign on with campaigns:update.
5. Optionally run npx skills add sortlist/overloop-cli so your AI agent can drive the same commands.

Overloop CLI limitations

• Beta release: command interfaces may change between versions
• Needs an Overloop account and an API key from Settings > API Keys
• The API is rate limited to 600 requests per minute per key
• Replacing the steps of a campaign that has enrolled prospects disenrolls them
