What is Retool AI?

Retool AI is the set of AI features inside Retool, the platform teams use to build internal tools on top of their databases and APIs. You can describe an app in a prompt and let the app-building agent generate or edit it, connect AI provider resources such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google AI to your queries, and build agents that come with observability, evaluations and tuning controls. Apps, mobile apps and workflows sit on the same platform, with a built-in PostgreSQL database, a query library and connections to databases and APIs. Usage is metered through pooled monthly AI credits: the Free plan gives 250, and paid plans give more.
