BenchGen

Agent benchmarking platform that runs AI agents through simulated environments, scores each decision and exports training data.

What is BenchGen?

BenchGen is benchmarking infrastructure for AI agents. Instead of testing prompts, it runs an agent through interactive, multi-step simulated environments, records every decision as a trajectory, scores behavior deterministically, and can turn each run into reinforcement-learning-ready training data. A built-in BenchGen AI agent in the platform chat can create benchmarks, run models on them, explain scores, version results and start training jobs, always showing a preview before it changes anything. Benchmark types include multiple choice, open answer, number answers and tool calling. The platform works with any agent: OpenClaw hooks in via a plugin, Hermes agents can be registered, and an OpenAI-compatible endpoint can be benchmarked directly, with an API for launching runs from code. A public catalog of about 300 benchmarks and 350 model pages feeds a leaderboard. It supports cloud, on-premise and air-gapped deployment. Starter is free with 50 runs a month, Pro is $49/mo with 2,000 runs, and Enterprise is custom.

Use cases

  • Benchmark AI agents on multi-step tasks
  • Capture agent decision trajectories
  • Generate training data from runs
  • Create custom benchmarks by chat
  • Compare models on public benchmarks
  • Test tool-calling accuracy

Who it's for

  • AI engineers
  • Agent developers
  • Research teams
  • Enterprise AI teams

Why use BenchGen

  • Testing agents in realistic multi-step environments exposes failures that demos hide.
  • Recorded trajectories make each score explainable step by step.
  • Benchmark runs double as training data, linking evaluation to improvement.
  • A free tier lets you try benchmarks before paying for volume.
  • Agent-agnostic connections cover OpenClaw, Hermes and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

BenchGen integrations

  • OpenClaw
  • Hermes Agent
  • Stripe
  • OpenAI-compatible endpoints

How to get started with BenchGen

  1. Open the platform chat and ask the BenchGen AI agent what you have, or describe a benchmark to create.
  2. Review the preview of questions or tasks and confirm before anything is created.
  3. Connect an agent or model, or point to an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, and launch a run.
  4. Read the score and per-question results, with each decision trajectory captured.
  5. Reuse the verified runs as training data to improve the agent.

BenchGen limitations

  • Starter plan is limited to 50 benchmark runs per month
  • Starter includes 5 evaluation environments
  • Starter support is community only

BenchGen FAQ

How much does BenchGen cost?

Starter is free, Pro is $49/mo, and Enterprise pricing is custom. Extra credits can be bought through Stripe.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Starter is free and includes 50 benchmark runs per month, 5 evaluation environments, trajectory capture and export, basic failure analysis and community support.

What plans does BenchGen have?

Starter, Pro and Enterprise. Pro adds 2,000 runs per month, unlimited environments and priority support. Enterprise adds unlimited runs, SSO and SAML, audit trail and 24/7 SLA support.

Does BenchGen have an API?
