What is Agenta?

Agenta is a shared workspace for building AI agents and automations without writing code: you describe the job in chat and the agent is set up for you. Each agent gets its own computer and browser, a shared folder called AI Drive for files and knowledge, reusable skills, and access to more than 1,000 integrations and MCP servers. You decide which actions run automatically, which need human approval and which are blocked, and agents can run on a schedule or when an event fires in a connected app. Every run is logged with tokens, latency and estimated cost, and each change to an agent is versioned so you can compare behaviour over time. Agenta Cloud starts with a free Hobby plan, then Starter at $29/month and Business at $299/month, with no per-seat price on any plan; you can also self-host the MIT-licensed open-source edition, which includes SSO and role-based access control, using Docker Compose.

Use cases

  • Build AI coworkers by chatting
  • Automate competitor research reports
  • Research and contact new signups

Why use Agenta

  • Anyone on the team can create an agent in chat, so building automations does not depend on an engineer.
  • No per-seat price on any Cloud plan means adding teammates does not change the bill; you pay for credits and runtime.
  • Approvals and permission rules let you keep a person in the loop for sensitive actions.
  • Logs, version history and evaluations make it possible to see why an agent changed behaviour.
  • MIT-licensed self-hosting and bring-your-own-model options avoid lock-in to one harness or model provider.
