NVIDIA NemoClaw
Open-source reference stack from NVIDIA for running OpenClaw always-on agents inside a policy-controlled OpenShell sandbox.
What is NVIDIA NemoClaw?
NVIDIA NemoClaw is an open-source reference stack for running OpenClaw always-on assistants with tighter controls. It builds on NVIDIA OpenShell: a nemoclaw command-line tool handles onboarding, creates a sandbox with filesystem and network policies applied from first boot, and manages the lifecycle of a versioned blueprint. Model calls are routed through the OpenShell gateway to the provider you pick during setup, such as NVIDIA Endpoints, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, a local Ollama or vLLM server, or any compatible endpoint, while credentials stay on the host. Egress rules are written in YAML, unknown hosts are blocked, and the operator is asked to approve them. Messaging channels such as Telegram, Discord and Slack can be wired to the sandboxed agent. It runs in the cloud, on premises, on RTX PCs and on DGX Spark, and can be launched from the NVIDIA Brev web UI. NemoClaw itself is open source; model usage and any Brev instance are billed separately by their providers.
Use cases
- Sandbox an always-on OpenClaw assistant
- Test agent behavior in a locked-down environment
- Deploy a sandboxed agent to a remote GPU
- Route agent model calls to a chosen provider
- Approve agent network egress by policy
- Connect a sandboxed agent to Slack or Telegram
Who it's for
Why use NVIDIA NemoClaw
- Agents run inside an isolated sandbox with no access granted by default, which limits what an unattended agent can reach.
- Network egress is controlled by a policy file, so new hosts need operator approval instead of being open by default.
- You can switch model providers without changing the agent, since inference is routed through the gateway.
- One CLI covers setup, sandbox creation and updates, which keeps deployments repeatable.
- It can be tried from a browser through the Brev launchable without installing anything locally.
NVIDIA NemoClaw features
- Guided onboarding that validates credentials and creates a working sandbox in one command
- OpenShell sandbox with Landlock, seccomp and network namespace isolation
- Declarative YAML egress policy that blocks unknown hosts until approved
- Routed inference to NVIDIA Endpoints, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama, vLLM and compatible endpoints
- Credentials kept on the host rather than inside the sandbox
- Versioned blueprints with digest verification
- State migration across machines with credential stripping
- Messaging channels for Telegram, Discord and Slack
- Single nemoclaw CLI for gateway, sandbox, inference and policy
NVIDIA NemoClaw integrations
How to get started with NVIDIA NemoClaw
- Install the nemoclaw CLI, or start a hosted sandbox from the NemoClaw launchable on NVIDIA Brev.
- Run guided onboarding, which validates your credentials and lets you choose an inference provider and model.
- NemoClaw sets up an OpenShell sandbox around OpenClaw, with filesystem and network policies in force from first boot.
- Model requests from the agent go through the OpenShell gateway to your chosen provider, and API keys stay on the host.
- Review and approve blocked hosts as they appear, and optionally connect channels such as Slack or Telegram.
NVIDIA NemoClaw limitations
- Built around OpenClaw and NVIDIA OpenShell rather than being a general agent framework
- Model catalog entries can outlive their endpoints, so availability is checked at run time
- You supply provider API keys, such as an NVIDIA API key for the default cloud provider
NVIDIA NemoClaw pricing
NVIDIA NemoClaw is open source, so you can use and self-host it for free.
Prices can change and may vary by country or exclude tax. Check the official pricing page.

NVIDIA NemoClaw FAQ
How much does NemoClaw cost?
The documentation does not list a price for NemoClaw itself, which is open source. Costs come from the model provider you route to and from any hosted instance, such as a Brev VM, whose estimated hourly cost is shown before you deploy.
Is NemoClaw open source?
Yes. The documentation describes NemoClaw as an open-source reference stack, with the sandbox runtime supplied by NVIDIA OpenShell.
Which model providers does NemoClaw support?
Supported options are NVIDIA Endpoints, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, other compatible endpoints, local Ollama, local vLLM and a Model Router. The model picker also draws on OpenRouter.
Can I try NemoClaw without installing it?
Yes. The Brev web UI guide launches a hosted sandbox from your browser, with Brev provisioning a Linux VM, the OpenShell runtime and the OpenClaw dashboard. You need a Brev account and, for the default provider, an NVIDIA API key.
What are alternatives to NemoClaw?
Other ways to isolate or host agents include E2B, Sandbox Runtime, Daytona and Modal sandboxes, though each differs in scope from NemoClaw's OpenClaw-focused stack.
