What is ZEDEDA?

ZEDEDA is a platform for managing edge computing at scale. Its cloud service, ZEDEDA Cloud, remotely orchestrates hardware running EVE-OS and the applications that run on it, and you can work through a graphical interface, a command line or an API. The product line covers edge infrastructure services such as an Edge Kubernetes Service, App Flows, Edge Air Gap Sync and Edge Remote Access, plus Edge Inference Services for building, testing and deploying AI models, and a Marketplace of validated partner solutions. Typical uses include computer vision, predictive maintenance, remote device management and industrial IoT data. Each edge device needs a license, and the pricing page shows no prices, so you contact the vendor about licensing. A free 30-day trial is available by signing up for a demo cluster, and a sandbox path using the open EVE project is also described in the help center.

Use cases

  • Manage fleets of remote edge devices
  • Deploy AI models to edge sites
  • Run Kubernetes clusters at the edge
  • Update devices without visiting sites
  • Roll out computer vision at the edge
  • Support predictive maintenance

Who it's for

  • Edge infrastructure teams
  • Industrial IT teams
  • Service providers
  • AI engineers

Why use ZEDEDA

  • Lets you update and troubleshoot devices at many sites from one console.
  • Combines device management, Kubernetes and AI inference under one vendor.
  • A graphical interface, command line and API give teams more than one way to work.
  • A 30-day trial on a demo cluster lets you test before committing.
  • Air gap sync support helps sites with limited connectivity.

ZEDEDA features

  • ZEDEDA Cloud orchestration with GUI, CLI and API
  • EVE-OS for edge nodes
  • Edge Kubernetes Service and App Flows
  • Edge Air Gap Sync
  • Edge Remote Access
  • Edge Inference Services for AI model pipelines
  • Marketplace of validated partner solutions
  • Onboarding and off-boarding of edge nodes

ZEDEDA integrations

How to get started with ZEDEDA

  1. Install EVE-OS on your edge hardware.
  2. Onboard each edge node into a project in your ZEDEDA Cloud enterprise.
  3. Create edge apps from the Marketplace and deploy them as app instances to your nodes.
  4. Use Kubernetes services or Edge Inference Services for clusters and AI models.
  5. Monitor and update nodes remotely through the GUI, CLI or API.

ZEDEDA limitations

  • Every edge device needs a license
  • Port 443 must be open on the edge node firewall
  • Prices are not published, so licensing terms come from the vendor
