What is PlaceCall?

PlaceCall gives an AI agent a phone. You send a US phone number and a plain-English brief through a REST API, an MCP connector or a Claude Code or Codex plugin, and PlaceCall dials the business, handles IVR menus and hold time, holds the conversation and reports back with a structured result, a summary, a full transcript and a recording. Typical jobs are booking, cancelling or rescheduling tables and appointments, checking stock, verifying information and collecting quotes, and it can call many businesses at once. If you lack a number, a place-suggestion endpoint returns up to six US candidates with phone numbers and ready call briefs. Calls open with an AI disclosure and recording notice, which you can customize. Developers building assistants, travel, services and verification products use it. There is no subscription: the first 250 calls are free, then a successful call costs $0.10 and voicemails, busy lines and no-answers are not charged.
