What is Sutro?

Sutro is backend infrastructure for production-ready backends, built for vibe coding platforms and AI-generated apps. You define a backend, including its data models, logic, triggers and security, and Sutro runs it, scales it and migrates it, so there is no infrastructure work to do. Backends can be created in a visual Studio, written locally in Sutro's SLang definition language and published from the terminal, or edited through a CRUD API. The Sutro Console manages projects, usage, authentication and security bundles. Modular APIs add prompt-to-frontend generation, where a natural-language description produces a full-stack app, and Figma-to-code conversion, and an AI assistant refines the generated frontend. Frontends can be hosted by Sutro or exported as a React bundle. Pay as you go costs $1.95 per backend per month with the first month free, and Enterprise is priced individually.
