Gemini Notebook
Google's source-grounded research notebook, formerly NotebookLM, that answers questions and builds overviews from the documents you upload.
What is Gemini Notebook?
Gemini Notebook is Google's AI notebook for working with your own material, renamed from NotebookLM on July 16, 2026. You add sources to a notebook, such as documents, slides, PDFs, web pages, YouTube links or audio, then ask questions in chat and get answers with citations back to those sources. It can also turn the same material into Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, Reports, Infographics, mind maps and Slides, and Source Discovery or Deep Research can find new sources from inside the notebook. Notebooks can be shared, including as public notebooks. The free plan is meant for personal projects and allows up to 50 sources per notebook; Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra raise usage limits and the source cap to 100, 300 and 600 per notebook, with Ultra listed at 5-20X higher usage limits than Pro. Google states that organization and school data is not used to train Gemini Notebook, and the notebook is included with Google Workspace plans. Paid plan prices are not shown on the plans page.
