What is Comicory?

Comicory is a browser-based comic generator for people who can write a story but do not draw. You paste or write a story, pick an art style, and the AI drafts a script with panels, dialogue, cast and locations that you can edit before anything is rendered. Each character and location gets a locked reference image, and panels are drawn from that reference so faces, outfits and places stay recognizable across angles and chapters. Afterwards you can redraw a single panel, retouch one area, drag dialogue bubbles around, add sound effects, or restyle the whole comic into manga, noir or watercolor. Work exports as PDF, PNG, ZIP, CBZ, a long scrolling image or a PowerPoint deck. Pricing runs on credits: 4 for a script, 1 per panel, character or location. New accounts receive 10 free credits once, and paid plans run from Plus at $9.99 a month to Ultra at $99.99 a month.

Use cases

  • Turn a short story into a comic strip
  • Create manga or webtoon chapters
  • Make illustrated picture books

Who it's for

  • Writers

Why use Comicory

  • You review the script before any image is drawn, so credits go to panels you actually want.
  • Reference-first drawing keeps characters and settings steady between panels and chapters.
  • Most editing, including bubbles, sound effects and layouts, costs no credits.
  • Credits are charged per rendered item, never per seat, and subscription credits roll over while the plan is active.
