What is AiSee?

AiSee is a wearable AI assistant that grew out of research at university labs and became a startup, spun out of NUS in 2025. AiSee Glasses were designed with blind and low-vision users to describe surroundings and help with daily tasks. A button press gives a visual description, a gesture starts scanning for buses, and you can speak when you want to ask something specific. Users can identify items, read price tags and menus, and find drinks in a vending machine. The glasses weigh 52 g, have a 12 MP camera and open-ear speakers, and pair with a companion app on iOS and Android. A limited edition is on pre-order at an introductory price of S$199. AiSee also offers a hands-free headset for general use, a standalone Android developer headset for building apps and agents, and a guided experience for attractions that want to serve visitors with visual impairments.
