PR-Agent

Open-source AI agent that describes, reviews and suggests improvements on pull requests across GitHub, GitLab and more.

Open source

What is PR-Agent?

PR-Agent is an open-source tool that uses language models to help with pull requests. Slash commands trigger each job: /describe writes a title, type, summary, code walkthrough and labels, /review produces a reviewer guide covering possible issues, security concerns, tests and review effort, /improve proposes code suggestions, and /ask answers free-text questions about the PR or specific lines. It can be triggered by commenting on a PR, through a webhook, inside CI or from the command line, including with a single Docker command that needs only an OpenAI key and a Git token. It works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Gitea. Models are configurable, with fallback models and options for OpenAI-compatible APIs and Azure, and an optional run-details line reports tokens and estimated cost. The project is open source and free to run, with you paying only your model provider.
