Mintlify
Documentation platform for developer docs and API references, with an AI assistant, Git sync and a free Starter plan.
What is Mintlify?
Mintlify is a documentation platform that hosts developer docs, API references and knowledge bases for startups and enterprises. Pages are Markdown or MDX files stored in your own Git repository, with site settings in a docs.json file, so teams can edit locally or in the web editor and keep full history. Mintlify hosts the site, adds an API playground, an MCP server and custom domains, and optimizes pages for search engines and for AI agents that read documentation. On paid plans, AI features include an assistant that answers reader questions, a writing agent, and automations that update docs, all billed in fixed credit amounts. Pricing has three tiers: Starter is free for up to 5 editor seats, Pro costs $450 a month on annual billing or $540 a month paid monthly, with unlimited editor seats, and Enterprise is custom with SSO, SCIM and an SLA. Every new account gets a 14-day Pro trial with 5,000 credits and no credit card, and eligible open source projects can get Pro free.
