What is Tencent HY?

Tencent HY, also called Tencent Hunyuan, is a family of large models that Tencent offers through Tencent Cloud for text, image, video and 3D work. Developers reach it through cloud APIs, including a Hunyuan translation API and the Tencent HY 3D Global service, which turns text or images into 3D models. The 3D service has Professional and Express generation APIs plus tools for part generation, smart topology, texture editing, UV unfolding, auto rigging and 3D format conversion. It is documentation and API based rather than a consumer app, so it suits developers and companies building on Tencent Cloud. Tencent HY 3D Global pricing is credit-based: new users get a one-time free tier of 200 credits that is valid for one year, prepaid packages run from $15 for 1,000 credits to $1,350 for 100,000 credits, and postpaid usage costs $0.02 per credit with daily settlement. A default text or image-to-3D call with textures uses 25 credits.

How to get started with Tencent HY

1. Create a Tencent Cloud account and activate the Tencent HY service to receive the free credit package.
2. Choose a billing mode: a prepaid credits package or postpaid by credits through Postpaid Settings.
3. Call the 3D generation API with a text or image input and a GenerateType such as Normal or LowPoly.
4. Use follow-up APIs for topology, texture edits, UV unfolding, rigging or format conversion.

Tencent HY limitations

• The free quota is one-time and expires after 1 year
