What is runAtlas?

runAtlas, which brands its platform as Atlas, is a full-stack AI platform for enterprises that want to run models and agents inside their own boundary. The stack includes the Atlas Inference Engine, an OpenAI SDK drop-in endpoint serving open-weight text models; Atlas TTS for text-to-speech in ten languages with voice cloning; and Atlas Hosted Training, where the vendor builds the reinforcement-learning environments and trains an open model on your examples. On top sit Voice Studio for call agents, a meeting-attending AI Employee that is launching soon, and Custom Agents built by forward-deployed engineers. The Runtime orchestrates per-user sandboxes with persistent state, and Atlas Sylo is a network gateway that injects credentials, restricts egress and logs agent actions. It runs on Atlas Cloud or inside your own AWS, GCP or Azure VPC. During the beta the inference API is free, with provisional per-million-token prices published for planning.

Use cases

  • Call open-weight models through an OpenAI-style endpoint
  • Build voice agents for support and collections
  • Run sandboxed agents for many users
  • Post-train a custom agent on your own examples
  • Audit and control what agents can access
  • Generate speech from text with cloned voices
  • Deploy AI inside a private cloud

Who it's for

  • Enterprise AI teams
  • Platform engineers
  • Security teams
  • Contact-center operators

Why use runAtlas

  • Switch existing OpenAI SDK code to open models by changing the base URL.
  • Keep data inside your own cloud boundary when you deploy in your VPC.
  • Per-user sandboxes and an audit trail address isolation and compliance questions for production agents.
  • Usage is metered per request and priced at the rate in force at the time, so past usage is not repriced.
  • Free beta usage lets you test before billing is enabled.

runAtlas features

  • OpenAI SDK drop-in inference endpoint
  • Text-only open-weight models with tool calling and structured output
  • Text-to-speech in ten languages with zero-shot voice cloning
  • Hosted training of custom agents on open models
  • Voice Studio for live-call voice agents
  • Sandbox orchestration with session continuity and multi-tenant state
  • Frontend adapters for web, Slack, Teams, Discord and raw API
  • Atlas Sylo gateway with allow-list egress, PII scanning and audit logs
  • Deployment on Atlas Cloud or your own AWS, GCP or Azure VPC
  • Usage and cost reporting by model and API key

How to get started with runAtlas

  1. Request access and get an API key for Atlas Cloud, or deploy the stack in your own VPC.
  2. Call the OpenAI-compatible endpoint with a model such as glm-5.2 or gemma-4-31b.
  3. Add runtime features such as sandboxes, session state and channel adapters for your agents.
  4. Route outbound calls through the Atlas Sylo gateway so keys, egress and actions are controlled and logged.
  5. Review usage and cost by model and key in the console or the usage API.

runAtlas limitations

  • The inference catalog serves text-generation models only, with no embeddings, image generation or fine-tuning endpoints.
  • The beta prices are provisional and may change before billing starts.
  • The gemma-4-31b model has an 8,192-token context and no tool calling.

runAtlas pricing

runAtlas is free to use.

runAtlas FAQ

How much does Atlas cost?

Beta usage of the inference API is free. Provisional prices per million tokens are $0.95 input and $3.00 output for glm-5.2, and $0.13 input and $0.38 output for gemma-4-31b. They may change before billing is enabled.

Is there a free plan for Atlas?

During the beta no payment method is collected and no balance accrues for inference usage. Prepaid credits, invoicing and enterprise pricing are not offered yet.

Does Atlas have an API?

Yes. It exposes an OpenAI-compatible API with models and usage endpoints, so the official OpenAI SDKs can be used by pointing them at the Atlas base URL.

Which models does Atlas serve?

The catalog has two open-weight text models: GLM 5.2 with a 262,144-token context and Gemma 4 31B with an 8,192-token context.

Can Atlas run in my own cloud?

Yes. The same stack can run in your AWS, GCP or Azure VPC as well as on Atlas Cloud.

What are alternatives to Atlas?

Alternatives include Together AI, Fireworks AI, Groq, Baseten, Modal and OpenRouter for inference, and ElevenLabs for text-to-speech.
