MemFree

Open-source hybrid AI search engine that answers from your own knowledge base and the web, plus an AI page generator for React and Tailwind UIs.

Open source

What is MemFree?

MemFree is an open-source hybrid AI search engine with a second tool built in: an AI page generator. For search, it answers questions from your saved notes, bookmarks and files together with results from the internet, so you do not hunt through separate apps. It connects to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini models, works with Google, Exa and vector search, and accepts text, images, files and web pages as input. Results can appear as text, mind maps, images or videos, and local files in PDF, Docx, PPTX and Markdown formats are supported. A Chrome bookmark sync indexes saved pages. The page generator turns text, images or files into React, Tailwind and Shadcn UI code with a live preview, a code editor, one-click publishing and error correction. The source is MIT-licensed on GitHub, and you can self-host the frontend with Bun, an OpenAI key, an Upstash Redis database and a Serper key, or deploy to hosts such as Vercel or Cloudflare Pages. The README lists no pricing plans.
