MemClaw

Project-based persistent memory for OpenClaw, with a web view to review what it remembers and shared project memory for teams.

What is MemClaw?

MemClaw is a memory add-on for OpenClaw that keeps context in separate, project-scoped workspaces instead of one long conversation history. When you juggle several clients or codebases, each project gets its own isolated memory, so Client A's pricing or architecture notes do not show up while you work on Client B. After a working session the memory is updated, and a single sentence to OpenClaw brings back the details and decisions for the project you name. A web app lets you sign in to review project memory, files and status, which makes it easier to see what the assistant actually retained. Projects can be shared by link so teammates view and edit the same memory. Setup is a one-line install from the Felo-Inc/memclaw repository plus a Felo API key. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Felo-managed cloud storage. MemClaw is free to start at $0, and the site lists no paid tier.

Use cases

  • Keep memory separate for each client project
  • Restore project context with one sentence
  • Review what OpenClaw remembers on the web
  • Share project memory with teammates
  • Track decisions across long coding projects
  • Collect research notes and sources per project

Who it's for

  • OpenClaw users

Why use MemClaw

  • Client and internal projects stay isolated, so details do not leak between conversations.
  • You can see what is stored in the web view instead of guessing what the assistant remembers.
  • One sentence restores a project's context, which saves re-explaining background each session.
  • Sharing a project link lets teammates work from the same memory during handoffs.
  • Free pricing makes it low-risk to test on one real project before adopting it more widely.

How to get started with MemClaw

  1. Send OpenClaw the instruction to install MemClaw from the Felo-Inc/memclaw repository.
  2. Create a Felo API key and connect it to activate your workspace.
  3. Create a project so OpenClaw stores that project's memory separately.
  4. Work as usual; MemClaw updates the project memory after your exchanges.
  5. Ask OpenClaw to bring back a project, or sign in on the web to review memory and files.

MemClaw limitations

  • Built specifically for OpenClaw rather than other assistants
  • Needs a Felo API key to activate
  • Project memory is stored on Felo-managed cloud infrastructure, not locally
  • No paid plans or team pricing are published
