What is Kira?

Kira is an AI app for generating and editing images and short videos from prompts. It offers three model modes: Lite for fast, lightweight results, Nova for more precise output, and Ultra for the highest quality, which can use about four times more credits per generation. Paid plans also unlock experimental modes such as Crazy Mode. Editing tools include inpainting, retouching and background replacement, and faces are kept consistent across edits and variations. Version 4.5 added reference-based video editing and expansion so characters and styles stay consistent. Usage is metered in credits: an image generation or edit costs 5 credits per successful result, and video features cost 15 credits per second. Plans are called Basic, Pro and Max, billed monthly or annually, on top of a free tier; credits reset each billing cycle and add-on credit packs are available.
