What is HyperFrames?

HyperFrames is a video creation framework from HeyGen in which a video is a composition made of plain HTML, CSS and a paused GSAP timeline. AI agents and developers write the composition, preview it, and render it to MP4, WebM or MOV. You can work locally with the command-line tool, or render on HeyGen's managed cloud with a single command, choosing frame rate, quality tier, 1080p or 4K, and aspect ratios of 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. A hosted MCP connector lets Claude, ChatGPT or Grok create and revise videos by chat without installing anything, and Claude Design projects can be sent to HyperFrames for import and polish. Imports and enhance turns are free. Cloud renders are where payment starts: a free account is limited to 3 renders a month, while paid plans charge 20 credits for each minute rendered, and 4K output is billed at 1.5x.

How to get started with HyperFrames

1. Describe the video to an AI agent, or write an HTML composition with a GSAP timeline yourself.
2. Preview and refine the composition locally in Studio, or revise it conversationally through the MCP connector.
3. Choose quality, format, resolution and aspect ratio for the output.
4. Run the cloud render command after signing in, or render locally if you prefer.
5. Download the finished MP4, WebM or MOV from the renders folder.

HyperFrames limitations

• The hosted MCP connector is in beta and needs a HeyGen account
• Free accounts get 3 cloud renders per month
• Project archives uploaded for cloud rendering are limited to 200 MB
• 4K renders are billed at 1.5x
• Local rendering requires installing Chrome and FFmpeg
